Tiger Balm offers a safe and effective line of topical pain relieving products with herbal ingredients that have been proven to work. No pills, just herbal pain relief that can be applied to the skin to temporarily alleviate pain. Tiger Balm has over 100 years of success in over 100 countries. If it's been around for 100 years I'm thinking they must be doing something right.
I'm always getting sore muscles. I work in a local hospital as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/L for short). My job is very physical from lifting patients, to moving around equipment, and crouching on the floor at times. Then coming home and keeping up with (err trying to keep up with) my three boys. And sometimes I even get a little sore in the neck area if I've been hitting the blog hard like today. To add on, I carry any stress and tension I may have in my shoulder and neck area (I have no idea where the stress would come from).
I received the Tiger Balm Neck and Shoulder Rub as it were, to review. It comes in a slender tube that's easy to squeeze out the amount you need to apply. The first time I tried it, my lower back was hurting. I decided I'd go ahead and give it a try for this. I had my husband apply it to my lower back. You could smell it immediately. It has a sort of mentholish smell. It's a white cream that reminded me of lotion. My husband put a very liberal amount on my back. I think it was way too much. I felt it immediately. It cooled and tingled. But it was way too much that time and I had to try to wash it off.
The next time I tried it I used a very small amount on my neck. Much better result. I could still feel it cooling and tingling but not so intense I couldn't handle it like the first time. So..my advice is, put just a little on until you know if it's enough. You can always add more if you need to. A little goes a long way with this product.
The relief lasted for a long time. Much longer than other topical pain relief rubs I have tried in the past. It didn't feel greasy or waxy at all like some other ones do. It absorbed into the skin pretty quickly. I could feel it working for several hours after I put it on.
