From September 25th to October 31 when you purchase specially marked boxes of FRESCHETTA pizzas and Artisan Pizza Crusts you will be helping FRESCHETTA to make their goal of $50,000 donation to the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. . The specially marked packages have codes printed in them that you can enter at www.ProudToSupportPink.com. The makers of FRESCHETTA products will donate $1 to the center for breast cancer research.
The site also has a place for for people to share their breast cancer journey or those of a friend. They will be displayed on the www.ProudToSupportPink.com site and on FRESCHETTA's facebook page. They will also be giving away 50 pink iPod shuffles a week in October. They will also be donationg 50 pink iPod Shuffles each week in October to four cancer centers around America to be enjoyed by breast cancer patients during treatment.
I think FRESCHETTA has a great program going here. I'm a fan of FRESCHETTA pizza anyway but I will certainly look for the special boxes in store to help support this effort. Breast Cancer Awareness is a cause that very close to me. My mother and grandmother were both effected by breast cancer. Between seeing my family members go through it and working in a hospital I can't stress enough to you how important it is to get your mammograms when you're supposed to. Do the self checks. If you're not sure the right way to do them there are lost of resources. From your gynecologists office, to breast cancer events, and online resources. In fact FRESCHETTA has a section on their www.ProudToSupportPink.com site with several good resources.
